SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1-4 PM – “All Around the Common.” Open House at the four historic properties on the Green. All will be welcoming visitors. FREE.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, 10AM – Historic Reservation Walk. Learn the history of and tour the boundaries of the historic reservation for indigenous people of Yarmouth. Two-hour walking tour led by Wabon Webquish & Bob Kelley.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 9AM – The Friends Quaker Village North Walk. Two-hour guided walking tour of the northerly part of Friends Village, settled in the 1790s. Tour led by Bob Kelley.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27, 10AM – Indigenous History Walk/Talk: Christianization. Wabon Webquish & Bob Kelley will lead this 2 hour, one-mile, Native American Talk/Walk along the Thacher Trail.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11, 9AM – Indigenous History Walk/Talk: Native American Pre-contact period up to 1800. Wabon Webquish & Bob Kelley will lead this 2 hour, one-mile, Native American Talk/Walk along the Thacher Trail.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18, 9AM – The Friends Quaker Village South Walk. Two-hour guided walking tour of the southerly part of Friends Village, settled in the 1790s. Tour led by Bob Kelley.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 26, 9:30AM – Historic Reservation Walk + Quaker Hospitality. Learn the history of and tour the boundaries of the historic reservation for indigenous people of Yarmouth. Two-hour walking tour led by Wabon Webquish & Bob Kelley. This special tour finishes at the Yarmouth Quaker Meetinghouse to break bread with the Friends in the Ancient Schoolhouse on the Quaker grounds. Refreshments included.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 31, 4:30-6:30PM – Yarmouth Port Green “Safe Halloween Trick or Treat.” Visit Bangs Hallet House, Edward Gorey Museum, Thacher Hall (with special guests from the YP Library from 4:30-5:30 with story time at 5PM), Winslow-Crocker, and the Chapter House Inn for treats and some not-so-scary Halloween fun in a safe environment. All ages welcome! FREE.
